The Homes & Communities Agency
The Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) is the
single, national housing and regeneration agency for England. Its
role is to create opportunities for people to live in high quality,
sustainable places. It provides funding for affordable housing,
brings land back into productive use and improves quality of life
by raising standards for the physical and social environment.
They achieve this by:
- acting as the bridge between national targets and
local ambitions, with a strong regional presence
- through their Single Conversation process with
local authorities, RDAs and sub-regional partnerships
- working effectively with the market,
housebuilders, investors and other stakeholders, and
- understanding the needs and aspirations of people
and communities
